Born in Ontario, seasoned in Quebec, Matt Tomlinson is a troubadour and trailblazer whose ‘cinematic folk pop’ combines English musical sensibilities with French lyricism and joie de vivre. Shimmering with hints of Beck, Elliott Smith, and a touch of Gainsbourg, Tomlinson’s first full-length French release Un été en hiver was called ‘one of the best albums of 2015’ (Canadian Music Blog). A multi-instrumentalist and crafted songwriter, Tomlinson has collaborated with the likes of Yves Desrosiers (Lhasa, Jean Leloup), toured with Les Soeurs Boulay, and was recently nominated for a Trille Or for Best Male Vocalist.
